GPS IIR-17 (M) is the fourth of the modernized GPS satellites, incorporating various improvements to provide greater accuracy, increased resistance to interference and enhanced performance for users. It was launched aboard a Delta II 7925-9.5 vehicle on October 17, 2007 at 8:23 am EDT from Space Launch Complex 17A at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, FL.
